Usher Auth privacy policy
Usher Auth collects nothing about you. This policy says exactly what the app does with what you give it.

Who we are
Usher Auth is made by Maverick Systems, who also make Usher Identity. When this policy says “we”, it means Maverick Systems.
What the app keeps, and where
When you add an account, Usher Auth keeps its name and its key, which the app needs to make your codes. They’re kept on your device only: on iPhone and iPad in the Keychain, readable only while your device is unlocked and never synced to iCloud or moved to a new device; on Android, encrypted with the device’s Keystore and left out of backups. Your settings (the lock, the theme, whether to show the next code) are kept on your device too.
What the app sends
Nothing. Usher Auth makes no network connections at all. It has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. We never see your accounts, your keys or your codes.
The camera and your photos
The camera is used only while you scan a QR code, to read it; no picture is kept. When you choose a photo of a QR code, the app sees only the photo you choose, reads the code from it, and keeps nothing else.
Face ID, Touch ID and your passcode
If you turn on the lock, your device checks your face, fingerprint or passcode. The app learns only whether the check passed.
Copied codes
A code you copy is kept for one minute and only on this device, so it can’t reach your other devices.
Crash reports
If you have chosen to share analytics with Apple or Google, they may send us anonymous crash reports through the App Store or Google Play. They contain nothing you keep in the app.
Children
Usher Auth collects no data from anyone, children included.
This website
These pages set no cookies and use no analytics. The working copy of the app on usheridentity.com/auth runs in your browser and sends nothing.
